OMAM Classroom (78 E. Granada Blvd)

Tuesdays, October 17 - Nov. 7, 2023 | 10:30am - 1:30pm

Capture the beauty of flowers in watercolor! During these classes, you’ll develop color mixing and glazing techniques, practice using worksheets created by the instructor, and produce a final painting. This is a little slower paced process than the Beginning, Beginning Watercolor class. So, in addition to watercolor skills, you will be expanding levels of patience. The instructor will do many demonstrations.

This class is for beginners and was created as a follow-up to the Beginning, Beginning Watercolor Series. Students are responsible for some supplies; please see list below. There will be time for a snack if you’d like to bring one.

“My goals will be continuing to help you build watercolor and drawing skills, learn new techniques, make new friends, support our local museum and most of all have fun.” — Pam Bleakney

The instructor will supply watercolor paper (hot press), paints Cotman by Winsor and Newton or Lukas, and a porcelain palette.

Supplies you need to BRING:

  • Watercolor Brushes:

    • Script or liner

    • Rounds #’s 2, 4, and 8

    • ¾ Angle or flat brush.

If you already have brushes bring them to the class. If you can’t get brushes, the instructor has plenty to share.

  • For Drawing:

    • Sketch pad (9”x12” or smaller)

    • #2 pencil

    • kneaded eraser

    • masking tape at least an inch

    • paper towels.

If you are a returning student and already have a porcelain palette please let Pam know when you sign up or you will receive a new one: Call Pam at 386-872-4556 or e-mail
