Mondays, Sept. 25 - Oct. 30, 2023 | 10:30am - 1:00pm
This six-week series will focus on wet felting techniques. Explore different ways to use and create with fiber. Learn to make wall hangings, vessels, felted rock rugs, scarves, bags, lights and more while exploring different techniques and materials. Let your imagination run wild in this 6-week class. Beginners learn new techniques, experienced felters can try new ways to approach old methods. The first 3 lessons will focus on materials and techniques, creating small projects. The last 3 weeks will focus on individual projects with guidance and suggestions from the instructor. All supplies are provided by the instructor for the first three sessions. The instructor will create an individualized supply list for students’ individual projects for the remaining three weeks. Estimated cost of additional materials ($10-$50) will vary according to the size and design of individual projects.

About the Instructor:
Liz Canali studied art and art education receiving a BS at Southern Connecticut State College. Her felt work has been displayed in galleries throughout New England and Florida. Liz has been featured in Western Massachusetts Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Felt New Zealand and the Orlando Sentinel. Liz's work includes sculpture, illuminated felt, wall hangings and women's accessories (hats, scarves, bags). She has a background in art administration and teaching. She teaches classes and workshops in both wet felting and needle felting.
