Join us in the OMAM Garden Gazebo for a FREE talk on Florida scrub habitats by Christie Miller, manager of the Lyonia Environmental Center. Learn about its plants, such as the prickly pear cactus and rusty lyonia, in addition to the scrub jays, gopher tortoises, and other wildlife that live there. ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Christie Miller is the new manager at the Lyonia Environmental Center. Before that, she was the volunteer coordinator for Volunteer Volusia program. She coordinated beach cleanups, trail projects, storm drain marking, and other volunteer projects around the county. In her spare time, she enjoys bird watching and volunteering in the bird hospital at the Marine Science Center.
