Wet-Felting Poinsettia Workshop with Liz Canali

It’s the holidays and what could be better than holiday decorations! Make your own beautiful, felted poinsettia in red, pink or white. Learn how to use roving with pre-felt to make this flower. Choose a pin back, a magnet, or a wire to complete your piece to wear, display your holiday cards, or hang on your tree. Beginner and intermediate students are welcome; some felting experience is helpful but not required. Students make their color choice at registration. Students are responsible for some supplies; please see list below.

Workshop price includes felting supplies for one flower. Extra kits will be available for sale in class while supplies last. The poinsettia is approximately 7.5 to 8 inches in diameter.

Students, please bring the following supplies:

• 1 bath towel and 2 hand towels
• Sharp scissors
• Kitchen size plastic bag to carry home wet towels
• Small bowl
• Needle and thread

About the Instructor:

Liz Canali studied art and art education receiving a BS at Southern Connecticut State College. Her felt work has been displayed in galleries throughout New England and Florida. Liz has been featured in Western Massachusetts Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Felt New Zealand and the Orlando Sentinel. Liz's work includes sculpture, illuminated felt, wall hangings and women's accessories (hats, scarves, bags). She has a background in art administration and teaching. She teaches classes and workshops in both wet felting and needle felting.
