Please join "Surreal Worlds" exhibiting artist Nancy Baur Dillen for a gallery talk. For the majority of her professional life, Nancy was professor of art at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, FL. During that time, her artistic focus was on creating “magically realistic” colorful oil paintings.
However, ten years after retiring she made a major shift to black and white drawings that feature portraits of whimsically imaginary personalities she finds in objects abandoned by nature. Why did she leave the beauty of color? What inspires her? How does she work? Come discover the answers to these questions and more.
This program is free, but advanced registration is encouraged.
