Veterans are invited to register for our February 23rd Lunch & Learn program, which includes a special tour of our current exhibit, Volusia Students Create, before creating their own fiber art piece. Afterward, they will enjoy a free Publix sub or salad lunch. OMAM strives to honor those who fought for our freedom daily.

This FREE program is ONLY open to veterans and current service members. Registration will close at 10am Thursday, 2/22, or when event is full.

About the Instructor:

Diamond Johnson, Curator of Youth & Outreach Programs

"My love for art began in Fayetteville, North Carolina, as I perused landscape painting as a child. My love for nature grew during high school as I obsessively photographed various islands throughout Japan. My love for our community heightened after my experiences as an art educator, Meals on Wheels coordinator, VPK volunteer, and art gallery assistant. As a daughter of a US Army 82nd Airborne veteran, I am so honored and grateful to work with the Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens. Their mission and impact within our community inspire me to create and share positive experiences with Volusia County, and beyond!"
