Tuesday & Thursday, May 14 & 16, 2024 | 12:00 - 3:00pm

In these two sessions, you will work from natural objects or your own photograph as reference OR from the instructor-provided options. Wood provides a sturdy drawing and painting surface. Framing is optional as the cradled wood has depth and contained sides. All the acrylics and acrylic mediums are compatible. This two-part class is for beginning-advanced students.

Students are responsible for most supplies; please see list below. The instructor will also provide some supplies for use in class, including colored pencils, smooth slip sheets, tape, drafting brushes, palettes, cups, paper towels, natural objects, markers, inks, acrylics, mediums, fixative, and reference photos.

Student should bring the following supplies to class:

  • Natural objects or your own reference photograph (unless you want to use the instructor-provided object/reference images)
  • Color pencils, your choice of professional brands, colors, and quantity
  • Prismacolor Verithins, your choice of colors and quantity
  • Graphite pencils: 2B, 3B
  • Hand-held pencil sharpener
  • Factus black 18 eraser
  • Inexpensive brushes (small & medium, round & flat)
