So, you add soap, water and agitation to a bunch of wool and you get a beautiful piece of felt? YES!!! Learn the basics of layout, edges, shrinkage and wool types. Embellish with yarns, silk, bamboo, viscose and more while creating a small wall hanging. Use your own photo as inspiration or play with color and texture for a unique abstract look . Explore the endless possibilities of wet felting! This workshop is for felting beginners
What students should bring to class:
- 2 large towels and 2 hand towels (they can be old!)
- Optional: scraps of yarn, silk and any wool you might want to use
- Photos for inspiration
- Palm sander (If you have one, otherwise there will be extras to borrow)

About the Instructor
Liz Canali studied art and art education receiving a BS at Southern Connecticut State College. Her felt work has been displayed in galleries throughout New England and Florida. Liz has been featured in Western Massachusetts Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Felt New Zealand and the Orlando Sentinel. Liz's work includes sculpture, illuminated felt, wall hangings and women's accessories (hats, scarves, bags). She has a background in art administration and teaching. She teaches classes and workshops in both wet felting and needle felting.
