ArtWave "Charcoal 101: Landscape Drawings" Youth Workshop

This month’s ArtWave session is perfect for eager young artists (ages 11-14) to explore the versatile medium of charcoal.

Guided by Curator of Youth & Outreach Diamond Johnson, participants will learn the essentials of charcoal techniques, including shading, blending, and creating dynamic contrasts. Then, inspired by a pre-selected black-and-white landscape photograph, young artists will create their artwork. This approach helps students understand light, shadow, and depth in a realistic setting.

All supplies are included in this tuition-based workshop, which includes: aprons, high-quality various charcoal forms, erasers, blending tools, and premium drawing paper.

Seats are limited, so signing up in advance is highly encouraged! Registration will close when workshop is full.
