Description

This series is for beginners (with some experience) to advanced / intermediate-level felters.

Mondays, March 3, 10, 17 & 24, 2025 | 10:30am - 1:30pm

So, you have some experience with felting but you don’t know what to do next … You took a class in person or online and want to continue to explore felting techniques… You started a project or have one in mind and need a little guidance … THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU!

With the focus on wet felting, explore different ways to create with wool. Make wall hangings, vessels, felted rock rugs, scarves, bags, lights, sculpture and more while exploring different techniques and materials. Let your imagination run wild. This class will focus on individual projects with guidance and suggestions from the instructor. Students should contact Liz with a project plan before class, her contact info will be provided after registration. Some materials will be available for sale from Liz according to the project or a materials list will be developed so you can purchase from suppliers.

*What students need to bring to class besides the appropriate wool for your project(s):

  • Two large towels and two hand towels (they can be old!)
  • Bubble wrap and thin plastic
  • Pool noodle
  • Spray bottle or plastic bottle with holes on the cap
  • Soap (I use clear Ivory liquid or olive oil or Murphy’s oil soap)
  • Large bowl and sponge
  • Optional
    • scraps of yarn, silk and any wool you might want to use
    • Photos for inspiration
    • Palm sander
    • Underlayment for resist if needed

Registration will close when class is full.
