In this hands-on workshop, we’ll cover the essentials of both types of photography, teaching you techniques to elevate your shots whether you’re snapping on-the-go with your phone or diving into DSLR settings. This class will take place in the classroom and the museum gardens.
You’ll learn about:
- Composition: How to frame your subject, use the rule of thirds, and create visually engaging images.

- Camera Settings: Understand your phone’s settings and master basic DSLR modes for clearer, sharper images.

About the Instructor
Lisette Otero-Lewis is an experienced photographer and educator with a Master's degree in Photography. As a former gallery owner and adjunct professor in the Photography Department at Daytona State College, Lisette brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the craft to her teaching. She is dedicated to teaching novice students ages 16 and older the essentials of photography. Specializing in technical skills, composition, natural lighting, and studio lighting, Lisette provides a hands-on and engaging learning experience. Her classes focus on understanding camera settings, mastering composition, and working with both natural and studio lighting, equipping students with the foundational skills needed to confidently capture their creative vision.
