with Tracey Lyon Nicholson

Learn how to create beautiful art with gratitude and appreciation during this Art of Healing workshop led by guest instructor Tracey Lyon Nicholson. Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. The method is non-representational and unplanned so you can focus on each stroke and not worry about the result. All supplies are provided and you are welcome to take your supply kit home with you so that you can continue tangling after class.

The same project will be taught at both February workshops (2/13 & 2/27), so please only sign up for ONE of the dates. If you need assistance registering, please call the museum at 386-676-3347.

ABOUT THE SERIES:

Art of Healing is open to anyone (ages 16 & up) in need of reflective time, including caregivers, survivors, and those who have lost a loved one. The art outreach program is free, but requires participants to register in advance.

Registration will close when program is full.

About the Instructor

Tracey Lyon Nicholson became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) in 2014 and has been teaching and sharing the artform and the method ever since. She has hosted a free monthly Meet Up for tanglers at all experience levels for over 10 years (including during Covid). Tracey believes that sharing Zentangle is about connecting people of all ages with their innate creativity.

"As you use the Zentangle method you will enjoy increased focus, creativity, self-confidence as well as an increased sense of well-being. By avoiding common blocks to creative flow such as: self-criticism, fear of failure, and so on… anyone can create beautiful art right away. I believe that life is an art form and that each person is an artist. For me, Zentangle is pen and paper meditation… and I’m not the only one. This phenomenon of mindful creativity has caught on world-wide. Please join me to see what the buzz is about!"
