Join us inside the classroom for a talk led by apiarist Diane Spoden about the magical world of honey bees, their lives, and their challenges, as well as our own native bees. Her presentation will include a hive display, honey tasting, and Q&A session.
After the talk, participants will move outside into the OMAM Gardens for a special tour by OMAM's Janett Taylor.
Seats are limited; registration is encouraged.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Diane Spoden is a master beekeeper and certified honey judge living in Crescent Beach and caring for around 30 hives. She has been a beekeeper for almost a decade and is a founding member of Crescent Beach Ladies Beekeeping collective. She is the owner of Diane’s Bees in Crescent beach where she operates a retail outlet for the products of her hives including honey, infused honey, wax wraps, skin balm, lip balm and pollen as well as organic teas.
