Description

Wednesday, May 7, 2025 | 12:00 - 3:00pm

Create with colored pencil, paint, and memorabilia and take it to the level of fine art. You may have precious scraps or small objects that you want to keep because they hold memories or are fun stuff that you just cannot throw away. Ticket stubs, photos, pieces of cloth, small objects, twigs, leaves, torn treasured bits of paper could all be used and contained as you create a finished artwork. Bring them and express your individual style.

The instructor will demonstrate how to use colored pencil applied directly to the wood and over collaged scraps, how to use acrylic paint to enhance the artwork, and matte medium to secure everything. Learn composition by creating with your “stuff”, and the mediums on a wood surface. The finished piece requires no frame, so you’ll leave with a piece of art ready to hang.

All supplies are provided including a plethora of mixed media materials and collage items, but students are encouraged to bring some of their own collage items and any other mediums they enjoy using to supplement the provided supplies (personal photos, cloths, papers, objects or scraps for collage, markers, pencils, charcoal, ink, etc.).

Registration will close when workshop is full.
