Felted Soap Workshop with Liz Canali

Explore how wool becomes felt in this workshop geared for children and adults. Students will learn the process of felting to create a useful soap and washcloth combo that is as fun to use as it is to gift to others!

Students should bring 2 or 3 bars of soap and a 3 hand towels to the workshop. If you’d like to make your felted soap in the shape of an Easter egg, bring oval bars of soap.

Open to ages 6 and up; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who is also registered for the workshop. This workshop is for all levels of experience.

Registration will close when workshop is full.

About the Instructor

Liz Canali studied art and art education receiving a BS at Southern Connecticut State College. Her felt work has been displayed in galleries throughout New England and Florida. Liz has been featured in Western Massachusetts Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Felt New Zealand and the Orlando Sentinel. Liz's work includes sculpture, illuminated felt, wall hangings and women's accessories (hats, scarves, bags). She has a background in art administration and teaching. She teaches classes and workshops in both wet felting and needle felting.
