After a trip to Barcelona, Barbara Saunders began her mosaic journey inspired by the work of Gaudi. Join her for a mosaic workshop to learn about the artist Gaudi and how to create a mosaic piece of art. The completed work can be used as a wall hanging or a functional tray. The project will include painting tiles with enamel and graphically designing and securing the foundation pattern with provided mosaic materials. Finally, the design will be grouted.
All supplies will be provided, but students should bring any personal pieces of china or ceramics they’d like to incorporate.
Registration will close when workshop is full.
About the Instructor
Barbara is a former NY and Florida elementary classroom teacher and museum art curator. Her current work, primarily in oils has been sold at festivals and galleries since 2010. She has created projects and in-school visiting art experiences for the NYS Council on the Arts. Barbara serves on the Ormond Arts District BOD and has instructed in fine and performing arts for over 20 years.
