Wednesday, March 25, 2026 | 11:00am - 12:30pm

Participants will use metal foils to create a unique picture frame. Participants will use various hand tools to emboss metal foils to create designs. Patina will be applied to create a beautiful antique look to your frame. All supplies will be provided, and no art experience is needed.

This FREE program is open to all U.S. veterans and active-duty personnel. A spouse or other family member (age 16 or older) may take the workshop with their military member, but all participants must register in advance.

About the Instructor

Mary Wentzel is a mixed media painter whose work features bold colors and rhythmic detail. The vibrant flora and fauna of the state of Florida is a favorite theme in her work. She is a graduate of Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and has enjoyed a long successful career as a museum curator and educator at some of our area's best art, science, and history museums. She has held curatorial positions at the Museum of Arts and Sciences and the Ormond Memorial Art Museum. Her paintings have been exhibited around the state and have won many awards. Her illustrations have been published in books and magazines throughout the country and her work is included in private collections around the world.
