Saturdays, Feb. 7 & 14, 2026 | 10:30am - 1:00pm
Create an illuminated globe to add drama and beauty to your room OR a unique vessel or bowl for your table. This fun method of wet felting is done over a ball using ultra fine merino and bamboo, viscous and/or tussah silk with yarn and other embellishments. You’ll make the 3D shape and stiffen it during the first session and learn various methods of enhancement in the second session.
Students should bring:
- 2 bath size towels
- 2 hand towels
- 2 pair of panty hose (S, M, or L)
- 1 dishpan for sink (8-12 qt.)
- 1 large mouth mason jar
- 1 squirt bottle
Optional supplies to bring:
- electric palm sander (vibrator type only)
- interesting yarns, silk, wool you might want to use
- light fixtures/bases you would like to use
- photos/inspirations you want to consider

About the Instructor
Liz Canali studied art and art education receiving a BS at Southern Connecticut State College. Her felt work has been displayed in galleries throughout New England and Florida. Liz has been featured in Western Massachusetts Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Felt New Zealand and the Orlando Sentinel. Liz's work includes sculpture, illuminated felt, wall hangings and women's accessories (hats, scarves, bags). She has a background in art administration and teaching. She teaches classes and workshops in both wet felting and needle felting.
