Please join us to create a calendar of windows for the new year. You’ll use a medium of your choice from the museum’s collection of colored pencils, paints, and collage materials to create a whimsical glimpse into your dreams for the year by making a piece of art that includes 12 tiny windows to be opened each month of the year. We’ll also discuss how windows can be used in art to represent the inner and outer worlds of the artist and look at examples of well-known works of art that use this metaphor. All supplies will be provided, but please bring any quotes, images, or collage materials that you’d like to incorporate into your artwork. (X-Acto knives will be used for this project.)

The same project will be taught at both January workshops (1/8 & 1/22), so please only sign up for ONE of the dates. If you need assistance registering, please call the museum at 386-676-3347.

ABOUT THE SERIES:

Art of Healing is open to anyone (ages 16 & up) in need of reflective time, including caregivers, survivors, and those who have lost a loved one. The art outreach program is free, but requires participants to register in advance.

Registration will close when program is full.
