Join Lisa Carlson for this one-day workshop to make a series of modern, non-objective gel prints to gift or keep. From generating a creative ideas for effective images, making masks for your images, applying color theory and using the gel plate, Lisa will guide you as you learn gel printing skills.
You'll get to try all the equipment and mediums before you invest; acrylic paints, print papers, found objects, posca pens & the gel plate. Lisa will provide step-by-step instructions, multiple examples, and a link to a helpful digital guide. Beginners and seasoned creatives welcome!
Students are responsible for bringing their own smock, and all other materials are provided.

About the Instructor
Lisa Carlson, an art educator with a proven track record in the fine art industry, has honed her skills in both creative production and teaching. She excels in cultivating critical thinking to inspire creative output in others, curriculum development, public speaking, and art production in drawing and painting, along with print making & photography. Lisa’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting & Drawing/Art Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she graduated with honors. Her passion for art led her to pursue an M Ed in Art Education on campus from The Pennsylvania State University, specializing in curriculum development with additional hours in painting and drawing, museum internship & educational program development
