Symphony with the Trees is a gentle, immersive soundscape that blends live music from harp and flutes with the natural rhythms of the garden with subtle audience participation to create a living symphony. Participants will gather in a loose circle to experience an inclusive environment where sound is felt and co-created rather than just observed. The session unfolds through deep listening, harp melodies, and optional participation like humming or light rhythm. Designed to be peaceful and seated, the experience prioritizes accessibility and welcomes people of all ability levels with any movement being gentle and entirely optional. Ultimately, this "living symphony" fosters a deep sense of connection between the individual, the group, and the surrounding natural beauty. Since this is an outdoor program, those sensitive to mosquitoes or other warm-weather bugs may want to bring insect repellant spray.

Participants will be guided through a series of simple, spacious moments that may include:

  • Arriving through breath – becoming aware of the natural rhythm of breathing and the surrounding garden air
  • Deep listening – noticing the subtle sounds of the environment such as wind, birds, and movement within the trees
  • Harp as a foundation – the harp weaves through the experience, responding intuitively to the environment and the group
  • Gentle reflection – brief, open invitations to recall moments of connection, love, or presence
  • Optional participation – simple and accessible ways to engage, such as light rhythm, clapping, humming, or call-and-response
  • Voice as part of the soundscape – participants may, if they wish, join in a soft, simple chant or tone, allowing their own voice to become part of the shared experience
  • All participation is invitational and optional, creating a space that is welcoming and comfortable for people of all abilities and comfort levels.

“I think of this as a “symphony” not in the traditional composed sense, but as a living expression of many elements in relationship. The trees, the air, the natural sounds of the garden, the harp, and the quiet presence of each person all become part of the music. There is a sense of listening and responding—almost a call and response between nature, instrument, and human presence.” – De Luna
