Painting with Wool 3-Class Series with Liz Canali

Summary

This three-class series combines wet felting and needle felting techniques. You’ll discover how to transfer images onto your wet felted background, allowing you to create anything from sprawling landscapes and wildlife to portraits and abstract designs. Introduction to different types of wool and embellishments, lying out the wool, calculating shrinkage and proper fulling techniques will be taught in this class. How to mount and display your piece will be discussed. Beginner friendly but some felting experience is helpful. What students should bring to class: two large towels, two hand towels (towels can be old), scissors, and photos for inspiration. Optional items to bring include a Palm sander, and any scraps of yarn, silk and any wool you might want to use.
