Workshop Registration
Photographing the Garden: Learning to See Like a Photographer with Lisette Otero-Lewis
Summary
In this hands-on outdoor workshop, participants will learn how to see the garden through a photographer’s eye by recognizing good light, simplifying visual scenes, and composing more intentional images. The class begins with a brief visual introduction, followed by a guided photo walk through the garden with live coaching and group discussion along the way. Emphasis is placed on creative seeing rather than camera settings, making the workshop welcoming for all experience levels and all types of cameras, including phones. A relaxed group review allows participants to reflect on their images and learn from one another in real time. Participants are asked to bring a camera or phone, comfortable walking shoes, water, and sun protection. A small notebook can also be helpful for jotting down ideas. Please meet in the museum lobby.
