Colored Pencil Cherry Workshop with Kathi Darby

Summary

In this colored pencil workshop instructed by Kathi Darby, students will learn how to transfer an image to paper, discuss composition, focal points and complementary colors, practice burnishing and blending, and practice highlights and shadows. Open to beginning students, 16 and older. Students are responsible for supplies.

SUPPLY LIST:
1. Recommended pencil colors (Prismacolor Premier): Canary Yellow, Crimson Red, Dark Brown, Goldenrod, Indigo Blue, Orange, Peach, Pink, Poppy Red, Spanish Orange, Tuscan Red, Warm Gray 10%, Warm Gray 20%, Warm Gray 30%, White.
2. Blender and/or blending stump (wax blender recommended)
3. Erasers: battery eraser, kneaded eraser, and polymer eraser (optional - Tombow Mono Zero erasers)
4. Paper (white or cream 80 lb minimum weight)
5. Pencil sharpener
6. Drawing board or clipboard
